Nestled in a neighbourhood rich in cultural heritage, Jawi House blends in seamlessly. The retro room sets the backdrop for the chef to experiment Indian recipes with Peranakan influences. On the menu, a good selection of biriyani with different ingredients are found alongside jawi laksa lemak (rice noodles with flaked tuna and mackerel in coconut milk broth) and papadom. Fish curry is always good; ask servers about the catch of the day.

This menu showcases a wide spectrum of flavors ranging from traditional northern malay 'lauk' as well as reimagined jawi peranakan festive dishes typically prepared by my grandmother. A little different than your usual Jawi House experience, expect a slightly modern apprroach in some courses while incorporating more elements from South East Asia. Going local has always been our core principal and we will include fresh and seasonal Malaysian produce to elevate the total experience. Hosted next door in our private dining space 'Kemboja', we hope to offer something unique and fun for our guest.
