SPG stands for Sarong Party Grill which is our playful take on Sarong Party Girl referring to Asian girls who like to socialise with white men, the mat sallehs. The term dates back to the 1940s during the British rule over Malaysia and was made popular by a series of humorous books by Jim Atkinson in the 1990s. SPG by Bijan, the new Modern Malaysian tapas bar and grill is a place for good food and a fun night of drinking.
