Gaia Hotel is one of the higher-class hot spring hotels in Beitou (a neighborhood nearly synonymous with hot springs). The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out. Of particular note is the interior lobby area featuring a massive wall of books going from the lobby up to the skylight several floors above. (The books are real, in English, Japanese and Chinese, and available to guests.)

The Gaia also boasts two restaurants, spectacular views, and of course, top-notch hot springs. Rooms at the Gaia are excellent, with each room having deep spring-fed hot spring tubs. In addition to offering overnight rooms with deep spring-fed tubs, visitors to the Gaia can also enjoy private tub rooms for shorter visits of two hours. The Gaia also has public spas (separated by gender) with indoor and outdoor pools of varying temperature, as well as dry and wet saunas. Finally, The Gaia offers massage treatments, and a gym and pool for overnight guests. As one might expect from a hotel of this quality, everything at the Gaia is top notch.
